Wafa Ghnaim
I first met Wafa attending an event at the Museum of the Palestinian People, where she presented a tour of the museum's exhibits. As she spoke about the objects in the museum, and patiently answered questions, I was so impressed by her knowledge and enthusiasm.
I've been fortunate to since attend several events where she's presented, including specifically on dresses and tatreez, where she is an absolute world-class authority.
Among other things, she is the founder of The Tatreez Institute, which aims "to preserve, research, and document Palestinian embroidery, dress, and history in the United States."
