"Why does a chicken coop only have two doors?"
Dylan Trần is a multi-media artist based in New Orleans whose musical work encompasses a wide range of styles and mediums from composing scores and choral works to arrangements of popular music. Over the course of two days, I was able to witness him perform in multiple capacities; as a language student, musician, master of ceremonies, and audience photographer for the New Orleans Opera. His humanity and enthusiasm is radiating and infectious, whether he is warming up a crowd with terrible chicken jokes or conversing with a volunteer at the opera about phrases in Filipino.
